Central Florida Fishing/Mosquito Lagoon

The Indian River Lagoon and the Mosquito Lagoon encompass 156 mile estuary that is an incredibly beautiful, scenic and diverse.  The lagoon supports more than 400 species of fish and hundreds of crustaceans. Members frequently go shrimping in the haul over canal at night and work the bridges for crabs.  Yacht and Key members frequently go out to see the  manatee's, Bald Eagles, Hawks, Famlingos and dolphin.

The lagoon is long and narrow and bordered by the barrier islands and stretches from Pone Inlet to Jupiter Inlet. The fishing is world famous as anglers report catch and release record size Reds, Trout, Tarpon, and Snook. However, there are also many, many other species that can be caught and targeted in this very shallow and ecosystem.  The spoil islands are equally fun to spend time on  for the day.

As conservationists by nature, members leave the lagoon as they found it as there is very little title flow once inside the lagoon system.  Backing up to the Canaveral National Seashore has a number of other benefits in the protection of this pristine area.

One of the most amazing trips is a very early departure and watching the water light up literally as you push through the lagoon.  Sunrise and Sunset are spectacular and the lagoon makes for an absolutely breathtaking location for watching rocket and shuttle launches.

Many guides work this area for members and we have partnerd with several who offer members discounted trips.  Of course, members help each other out as well often partnering on days out to learn from each other.  We have been known to fish the lagoon almost daily during the fall Redfishing season and the easy access to the fall mullet run.  Great place for kids and family alike to enjoy the best of Central Florida boating.
